Cuban deputy foreign minister Dagoberto Rodriguez urged Spain´s foreign minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo to better pay attention to Spain´s domestic affairs instead of meddling in Cuba internal issues.
In response to statements by Garcia-Margallo to the Sunday edition of El Mundo newspaper, Rodriguez said that the Spanish foreign minister used disrespectful and interfering expressions related to human rights and the state of law in Cuba.

One of the most transcendental moments at the 21st International Book Fair Cuba 2012 was the presentation of the book The Cuban Five. Who are they? Why they have been unjustly sentenced? Mary Alice Walters, director of the Pathfinder publishing house, was in charge of the presentation in the José Lezama Lima pavilion, at the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña, where the personal exhibition "Aves por la Unidad" (Birds for Unity), by Antonio Guerrero, one of these fighters, for freedom and justice was also shown.
