Solidarity-with-Cuba organizations climbed the Tecana hill in El Salvador and the Baru volcano in Panama to demand the US government to release immediately the five Cuban antiterrorists unjustly incarcerated in the United States
They also read a message to demand the end of the US blockade against Cuba, reported Prensa Latina news agency.
Meanwhile, Panamanian youngsters asked US president Barack Obama to use his powers to release the Cuban Five as they are known internationally.
The group, headed by Jonathan Gonzalez from the Movimiento Juventud Patriótica Popular, started the climbing to the 3475 meter (11401 feet) high volcano this Sunday.
Without any evidence whatsoever, in a biased trial, and in violation of the US legal system, the group was condemned to excessive sentences for monitoring the activities of counterrevolutionary organizations operating in south Florida with the consent of US authorities.
The criminal actions of these terrorist groups, carried out for decades, have resulted in thousands of deaths and people being wounded and mutilated, as well as damages to the island’s economy, worth millions of dollars.
The Five were risking their lives daily to discover and warn Cuba about the terrorist plans of these mafia groups.
