This June 4 Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Five, a victim of a political and rigged, trial unjustly accused and serving no more and no less than two life sentences plus 15 years in prison in the United States, will be 46 years old.

Thousands of men and women in the world are calling for his immediate release. Let us all unite and celebrate his birthday by letting the world know about the great injustice committed against the Five, Gerardo, Fernando, René, Ramón and Antonio.

... The prosecutors must know that the only blood that could be on these hands is that of my brothers fallen or killed by the countless cowardly aggressions and terrorist acts perpetrated against my country by people who now walk the streets of this city. Blood that one day I swore I would be willing to sacrifice my own life if doing so could protect my people from such crimes.... Cubadebate joins itself to the proposal that came from Alicia Jrapko, coordinator of the International Committee to Free the Five, which is self-explanatory: a friend who runs a program on Radio Pacifica (California) will dedicate its June 4th program to the birthday of Gerardo Hernández, who  listens  to this station from prison.

Tanya Torres, the director of the program, will read the brief messages of greetings you send to our comrade.
