In more than a hundred nations of the world there are about 330 committees for the release of five Cubans imprisoned in the U.S. for nearly 13 years, subjected to excessive sentences for helping to prevent terrorist actions against the island plotted in the US, reports of the Cuban Institute of Friendship.
The demonstrations that show the work of the pro-liberation groups the brave Cuban patriots, decries the plight to which Rene Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Ramon Labañino are subjected.
In the western province of Pinar del Rio, children are developing a creative space called "Chalk on asphalt," which is included in the day of solidarity for the release of these compatriots.

The day includes the development of discussion forums on the struggle for peace, disarmament and the warmongering policies of U.S. imperialism, tours of sites linked to the revolutionary epics and walks to famous places associated with the process of national liberation.
The Five were arrested in 1998 in the United States accused essentially of conspiring to spy, and are serving sentences ranging from double life to 15 years imprisonment in prison after a rigged trial in Miami.
Their sole mission in that country was to gather information on extremist organizations of Cuban origin based in south Florida and with an extensive record of terrorist acts against the island that have left thousands dead and maimed.
