It was a quiet Sunday, and I took the opportunity to take a rest at home accompanied by my family and some friends as well as listening to my favorite music. This time I sat in my patio to think of the Cuban Five Antiterrorists who are serving long sentences, far away from their homeland and relatives.

I know that many people read my articles, and that pleases me a lot; and much more when the readers realize that they have learned something new or want to go deep on the topic dealt. In this article about the Cuban Five, I would like to express my arguments from the human and rational point view. It has been more than a decade since the Cuban Five were condemned. By the way, why were they sentenced? In those cities where the Five were sentenced, some dangerous convicts are walking the streets as if the were heroes, since they enjoy of immunity and impunity. This would be the perfect topic to write on Frank Kafka’s novels, a writer who showed absurd and contradictory things of his time.

The Five prisoners usually to talk about literature and philosophy, write poems and letters to their wives or mothers, paint, and read books by José Marti; and above all they long for breath in the countryside smell in Cuba.

However those who walk the streets have blew up airplanes, tortured people, have being hired to kill a former secretary of state in the South America; have been involved on a U.S president’s assassination and coup d’état, have ordered to plant bombs in hotels, and send air plains to invade the air space of the country considered enemy, although they have put at risk human being’s lives.

Moreover, the Cuban Five used to struggle against those who are enjoy impunity now for them did not cause more damage, which has provoked much blood and tears to their victims. They used to take care of the citizens’ tranquility in Cuba even in the United States.

And I ask my self once again: What are the Cuban Five‘s crimes? Everything seems to be different now by a strange twist of fate.
