Representatives of several French political and solidarity institutions demanded this Wednesday before the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the freedom of the Cuban Five antiterrorists imprisoned in the United States.
On behalf of the International Committee for The Five, French Gloria Gonzalez Justo said that for more than 11 years of unjust imprisonment, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Gerardo Hernandez and Fernando Gonzalez have demonstrated strength and determination despite the rigging process they have suffered.

Under the slogan: On 5 at 5:00 for The Five due to the date and time chosen dozens of people expressed their support to the cause of the Cuban patriots, such initiative had the support of the French cities Toulouse, Avignon and Montpellier, Prensa Latina reported.
Gloria also criticized the constant sabotage, the delays even, the visas rejection to the Five’s relatives as a blatant violation of the right to visit their loved ones.

Virgilio Ponce, as Coordinator of the Cuban Residents in France highlighted the example of courage and dignity of those who have been victims of the genocide blockade against the nation. The act was also attended by the Coordination in Defense of the Cuban Revolution and for the freedom of The Five, France-Cuba, and Forum For another World, Cubasi France, Polo Renaissance Communist France and Communist Party of France. Likewise, the General Confederation of Workers (CGT), French Organization of Rotative and Energy, non governmental organization EL Otro mail.ain.cu, Cuba Cooperation and the attendance of Orlando Requeijo and Mary Florez, Cuban ambassadors in Paris and the UNESCO respectively.

In Montevideo, the Association of the Cuban Residents in Uruguay recalled that The Five are unjustly imprisoned in the United States for trying to avoid the illegal actions against our nation by terrorists groups settled in Miami.

In a letter to President Barack Obama all these institutions and organizations claim to use his influence as president to remove this unspeakable accusation on The Five, which was the essence of this arbitrary process.

The Union of Cuban Residents in Argentina join to claim of the Argentinean Movement of Solidarity with Cuba to continue giving information about the Cuban reality and the immediate release of the Cuban Five and lift of the economical and criminal blockade against Cuba.
