Free the Cuban Five unjustly imprisoned in the USA
Members of the Chilean Movement of Homeless People demanded U.S president Barack Obama to free the Cuban Five unjustly imprisoned in the northern country.
These letters delivered to the U.S. embassy in Santiago de Chile criticize the absurd confinement for 12 years of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González, Prensa Latina refers.
The same source also reported the visit to Chile of Maria Eugenia Guerrero, Antonio’s sister, one of those Cuban patriots.
Her program of activities includes a trip to Valparaiso, to present the case of the Five in the committees on Human Rights and Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies.
She will also hold a meeting with students of the Law Faculty of the Chilean University as well as aid organizations with Cuba in that locality.
Maria Eugenia will also provide a press conference in the Society of Chilean, and meet with university leaders and several mayors of municipalities in Santiago de Chile.
The Five, as they are internationally known, were monitoring anti-Cuban terrorist groups in Florida, which for decades, and with the consent of successive U.S. administrations, have carried out sabotage, bombings and attacks against the island bacteriological.
As a result of those actions killed 3 478 people and 2 0999 were injured. The damages to the Cuban economy are estimated at billions of dollars.
