Cuban Parliament Approved Declaration in Defense of Gerardo Hernandez

It is not enough a Declaration of the Cuban Parliament to finish the torture against Gerardo Hernandez, return him to the prison population is not the victory but also that he returns to his country with his four brothers”, expressed Ricardo Alarcón after in the plenary session of the National Assembly was approved unanimously the Declaration which demands justice before the current punishment impose to the Cuban antiterrorist.
Alarcón extended the message of gratitude of Gerardo to our people and our friends all over the world that denounce his stay in the hole, which was transmitted to his attorney Leonard Weinglass and his sister, Isabel Hernandez Nordelo, who recently visited him in Victorville Federal Prison in California.

The president of the Cuban Parliament stated that the Federal Bureau of Investigation of United States (FBI) has the responsibility of the current situation of Gerardo, the FBI impose this inexcusable violation of the human rights to our comrade.

We are not accusing the U.S Department of State, neither the authorities of the prison that carry out instructions from the agency, which is supported by the U.S government.

Later, Alarcón stressed that when Gerardo expressed his gratitude asking not writing during the time he is in the hole because he can not read the mail either to keep the letters.

We must increase the letters to president of the United States, Barack Obama, who leads the institutions all over the country and whole world; to Eric Holder, Minister of Justice and immediate responsible of the United States. Alarcón considered these two figures are not concerned about the details of Gerardo’s case. I want to believe if they were concerned they will act immediately to finish the tortures against an innocent man.

Likewise, he stated that both U.S politicians are informed by media that hides the truth, it is necessary to multiply the messages, the condemn expressions against the Secretary of the State, Hillary Clinton, who has been guilty of negligence before our efforts for Adrian Perez and Olga Salanueva, wives of Gerardo Hernanadez and Rene Gonzalez respectively can visit their spouses in prison which is also a torture.

Finally, the National Assembly President considers there are mean and coward people influence on the case of the Five. He urged to be alert because this struggle continues.
