The news about the Cuban Five Hero Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo release from isolation in “the hole” has been published by several blogs and web sites on Internet, while “The great Press”, from the main newspapers, has barely published the information.

Gerardo had been taken to a punishment cell (a hole), and stayed there 12 days even suffering health problems at the high-security prison Victorville, in California, where he is serving a life imprisonment plus 15 years sentence.

Press release by Cuban Government released by Television Cuban News on Tuesday night included Adriana O’Connor’s testament, his wife.

In a phone conversation, Gerardo Hernandez Norbelo told Adriana that he had been moved August 2 to the place, where he previously was serving the sentence.
The press release stressed that the Department of State had announced the Cuban authorities about the inmate’s movement and the Cuban government thanked for support and solidarity carried out by several organizations as well as those people who claimed the end of this cruel inhuman treatment.

National Committee to free the Five in the United States calls to intensify the struggle to release Gerardo and the other four Cuban antiterrorists from prison and suggest, as an immediate action, to send a letter to Gerardo for him to know that all his supporters will continue to struggle.

Adriana realized while talking to Gerardo that he was in a good mood and in good spirits despite those days of unwarranted punishment in the hole, suffering from high blood pressure and an infection caused by a bacterium, for which he has not diagnosed any treatment.

After knowing that Gerardo was out the hole, the news was internationally spread and published by several web sites including: lavozdigital.es, noticia2.com, diariosur.es, fmlnsuecia.se, elnuevodia.com, 20minutosamerica.com, granadinos.org as well as a lot of personal blogs on Internet.

Cuba people will continue the struggle until the Cuban Five be released from prison and return their homeland.
