René Gonzalez Sehwerert cumplio 54 años

What joy of this Cuban family; bring a child into the world so honorable, perhaps that August 13, 1956, in Chicago United States they would not imagine how great could be his work. The time and the strength of his thought and action were ordered to reveal as a genuine heir of the revolutionary principles.

Rene Gonzalez Sehwerert  is a good and neat  man, devoted to his work as an honorable Cuban, he is one of the five Cubans imprisoned in U.S. for fighting terrorism in its own entrails; since 1998 he is incarcerated with Gerardo, Ramón, Fernando and Antonio who have never lose heart in their struggle, they have became in heroes.

They are five soldiers, as René expressed in a message; they have chosen to stand for something than fall for anything.

Rene will be 54 years this August 13, far from his family, but the truth and the reason send to his cell the warm embrace of a hero.

Today Rene is proud of his date of birth, also of his country, his family and Fidel his invincible friend who he tells: beyond the evil plans of our captors, we never stop being proud heirs of his work and faithful guardians of his example. We can not decipher the perfidious expectations that encourage the rule of brutality and vindictive nature of our deal, but we can offer the promise of never, from one of our cells, will be out in a wail that suggests the slightest concession of our principles to such despicable enemy.
