In a letter addressed to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, the President of the Kiribati-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Association requests the review of the sentences imposed on the Cuban Five as well as their release, by way of which they join the feelings expressed in this regard by the wives, children, relatives and friends of these antiterrorists, and by the people of Cuba and all the peoples of the world.
The letter indicates that their release and their transfer to their country are requested given the U.S. government's self-proclamation as the world leader of democrats and humanists.
Finally, the President of the Association points out that he hopes that this request coming from a country that is small and of minor importance in the spectrum of nations, can be heard and considered with love and kindness.
