The Cuban Radio Portal has again taken up the term “Educational Radio” due to its importance for the new Cuban generations. The Cuban portal interviewed the prominent professor and radio worker Roberto Rodriguez Menendez for him to provide his point of view on this term and its development on the island.

The creative work of scriptwriters and screenplay adaptors is one of the main cores of program production in the electronic hardware.

First on the radio, the movies and later on television, men and women from the most varied professions, experts from the most diverse artistic, commercial and communicative disciplines and even the newcomers which one day by chance of life challenged their own destiny and took this role without even suspecting the talent to be developed and since then they would devote all their life. They were the responsible of the word, the ideology, the feeling, the imagination and the media fiction creating as sculptors this complex symbiosis of formulas, symbols, genres and prototypes of the live characters in every story.

During the last five years, I used to talk to “Bebo” (Roberto) Ruiz, a Cuban playwright and a theater professor, at Eduardo Garcia Delgado Art Instructors´ School, where he unfortunately passed away.
Roberto used to talk about many topics on his conversations, radio among them, a means of communication he would have loved to add to his long curriculum.

A varios años del fallecimiento de Dora Alonso la sigo recordando como una flor que perdura. El tiempo y el recuerdo son dos categorías bien especiales para mí y son ellas una sola circunstancia de vida cuando vuelvo a escuchar la voz de esta escritora entrañable donde ternura y cubanía se mantienen, necesarias y vitales, para comprenderla en su suave grandeza.
