The final declaration of the event urged to multiply the actions of the solidarity movement around the Five, coordinate and articulate in unity of action, central themes to exploit the enormous capacity of action of committees in the world work for this cause.
Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez and Rene Gonzalez, who is known as the Five, were arrested in Miami in 1998 to track groups organized and financed terrorist actions against Cuba.
Only René Gonzalez is located in the island, after completing his sentence and give up U.S. citizenship.
The 272 delegates from 51 countries agreed to support the Third Report and Solidarity Day “5 days of Action for the Five" in Washington DC, to be held from 4 to 11 June next year.
In addition, the forum called for intensifying work with parliamentarians from around the world to pressure the U.S. Congress and the president of that country, Barack Obama.
Similarly, agreed to strengthen the work on social networks and join trade unionists, religious, artists and intellectuals in the struggle for the liberation of Cubans.
The final declaration of the conference noted that these 15 years in prison to commit terrorist the right to life, the sovereignty and dignity of the peoples struggling.
“Cuba is not only seeking to punish with the Five in their prisons, is to each of us," concluded the statement.
