A feeling of respect has characterized Cubans when referring, with pride, to the predecessors who have brought glory and prestige to our homeland. With regard to Cuban broadcasting, it’s obligatory, on principle, to remember its founder Luis Casas Romero, from Camagüey province, but also his children Zoila and Luis, in the same way. It was on August 22, 1922, when the first radio broadcasts in the history of Cuba took place, with a defined and constant programming.

 Fidel Castro in Cadena Oriental de Radio For many years, some colleagues who worked in Cadena Oriental de Radio -moved from Santiago de Cuba to Havana on August 3, 1953 - we thought about the visit of Comrade Fidel made to that station on May 20, 1955.
