The Cuban Radio Network is a state-run organization subordinated to the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) that supervises, controls and organizes the creative process and the development of the national radio.

One Vice President of the ICRT leads the entire radio system, which also has three General Directors, nine methodological directors, one international radio station, six national radio stations, 18 provincial plants, one production company of specific programs, plus diverse record studies in the municipalities throughout the Island.

Almost 7 000 employees work for the Cuban Radio Network providing a radio programming of highest political, ideological, social, ethical and aesthetic virtues in correspondence with the Battle of Ideas that Cuba wages today.

Another essential goal of the Cuban Radio Network is that its programs be at the service of knowledge, culture, recreation and the defense of the nation and its citizens.

The Cuban radio exists to deal in depth with matters such as the independence, the sovereignty, the national identity and the love for the construction of our Socialist project.

Its main objective is linked to the need of controlling the environment, looking for the facts that confirm its mission with the active participation of its workers, which are journalists, correspondents, technicians, actresses and actors, and administrative employees, capable of evolving in pursuit of the development and the creativeness of the Cuban Radio Network.
