The book "Frank País, leyenda sin mito" (Legend, no myth) by renowned Cuban radio staffer and researcher Renaldo Infante Urivazo was presented at the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC), as an initiative of some graduates from the Teachers School of the eastern region, who live in Havana city.

"Compared to all the biographies that have been written on Frank Pais, a Cuban revolutionary (1934-1957), this one has a great artistic–literary value. This book not only represents the revolutionary man, but also a person who has faults and virtues. This is the best thing that has been written so far on the hero," reported Mariana Venero, a journalist and presenter of this book to the Cuban Radio Portal on the Internet.

Radio propaganda in these times deserves further testing and control of effectiveness through specific studies of public goals

The radio as a media of communication focuses mainly on the nature of what it represents as a media and that others do not possess. One of the strengths of radio is that its production cost is lower than other media, allowing us to use it creatively using voices, music and communicators.

The development of a propaganda slot should be designed as part of a set of elements on the subject embodied in the programming which can be secured as an extension of the campaign created to be placed on the radio.

“Emision Dimension Cubana” program, which is broadcast in Canada,  provides the real possibility to spread the truth about the case of the Cuban Five prisoners in the United States and so keep the audience updated on how their process is going .

The current wars in the world are encouraged by lies. About our country have been woven and are still being woven all kinds of inventions to justify another war. In the last two decades Cuba has been judged repeatedly in Geneva as violating human rights when in fact they should measure up to countries by their degree of compliance with the requirements universally accepted as a whole.

"Everything I am and I have, I owe to the Cuban radio. I’ve dedicated it the best years of my life, and I have been rewarded," says radio announcer and presenter  Eduardo Rosillo in the documentary Rosillo, gracias a la radio, which participates in the 33rd International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.
