As part of a project sponsored by the Cultural Fund of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Latin America (ALBA), five itinerant cinemas will be set up in the member countries of this organization by the Film National Distributor AMAZONIA FILMS.

According to the Amazonia Films presidency, the new screens will begin to operate in March in the case of Venezuela and in about three months in Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Bolivia. There will be a fixed screen in the Dominican Republic.

Victor Luckert, the president of that institution, reported that they have a bank of pictures to distribute in those countries. They have about 40 including full length films and documentaries.

Some filmmakers are collaborating with this ALBA cultural project. They have transferred their rights to screen the films; an example is the case of the Bolivian film director Jorge Sanjines.
