Commander Hugo Chavez Frias sent an vibrant message to Cuban President Raul Castro Ruz and all the Cuba people for the celebration of the main event for the National Rebellion Day this July 26th in Ciego de Avila.

In his message, Chavez passed on revolutionary and socialist greetings, and expressed his endless love for the fraternal Cuban people, for he whom he feels gratitude and admiration. 

The Bolivarian president stressed that the event which happened on July 26, 1953 changed Cuba’s history forever, brilliant and historic, which challenges people to constantly follow its example of dignity.

With his impressive way of speaking, Chavez noted the permanent commitment after the storming of the Moncada Garrison, and heroic deed carried out by a generation of passionate youngsters that marked the destiny of country. 

Chavez expressed with great emotion, that the historic conviction of the Moncada garrison assault is permanently renewed by calling people to new rallies of celebration. “We can say today, after 58 years that what was aspired to by our National Hero Jose Marti has become the collective reality of the Cuban revolution,” said the president.

Chavez referred to words expressed by President Raul Castro in 1961, which defined the Moncada Garrison assault as the beginning of a period of armed struggle that it did not end until the defeat of tyranny and he linked it to the achievement of the revolutionary forces in Venezuela, in February 1992, when their first assault for the defense of Venezuelan homeland was carried out and become victorious.

“A great and strong hug for Cuban people on this day of glory and celebration. We will live and will win,” President Chavez said finally with great emotion, very beloved and respected by the Cubans, who follow all his victories.
