
Santa Clara venue of July celebration
The province of Villa Clara, which will be the venue of the national ceremony on July 26, Day of the National Rebellion has a social, economic and cultural development. This shows that the province has been carrying out an outstanding work on research, teaching, spreading of history, imports substitution and the preservation of its cultural- historical heritage.
Acording to a report sent from CMHW provincial radio station, the journalist Emma Rodriguez Aguilera, said that a national ceremony on the Cuban Historian’s Day took place on Monday, in the capital city of Santa Clara, in Villa Clara province, where outstanding professionals were acknowledged for their labor.
Those professionals awarded Distinctios: “Consuelo Terrada” for teaching history, and "Juan Alberto Sanchez, for the remarkable work on historical research.
The journalist Rodriguez also reported that in occasion of the anniversary of Moncada Garrison Attack, one of the two graduations planned at the University of Medical Sciences took place there, where 852 health technicians received their diplomas, as well as 77 members of university project of Poloclinics, and those who finished their high studies in the municipality of Santa Clara.

Clara William Urquijo reported that the Chemical Bioactive Center (CBQ) of the province started the production and marketing of soft and hydroalcoholic extracts of propolis, for the Cuban industry of cosmetics.
Director of that center attached to the University of Villa Clara Zenaida Rodriguez explained that the first deliveries of the product from apiculture to Suchel Camacho Corporation, as part of a strategy of imports substitution.
The center also set raw materials needed aside for the production of Dermofural product, a dermatologic ointment for the human being in Cuba as well as the Furvinol, an efficient eye cream against bacterial and fungal diseases for the cattle.
The Chemical Bioactive Center currently carries out nine research projects related to rational drug design against so-called "neglected diseases, endemic diseases from underdeveloped countries, which big medicine- producing companies are not interested in.
