Jose Ramon Machado Ventura denounced the agresive campaing against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

Without giving up dreams of justice, Cuban people have kept to its position despite of challenges, threats and attempts of blackmails, first vice- President of Council of States and Ministries Jose Ramon Machado Ventura during his speech at the ceremony at the 57 anniversary of the storming to Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons, which took placed at Ernesto Che Guevara Square, in the province of Villa Clara.

Machado Ventura stressed the steps forward in the fields of economy and society in the provinces of Ciego de Avila, Granma and Havana, which won honorable mentions at the emulation of the National Rebelliousness Day, and specially Villa Clara’s contribution. “It is not emulation for the triumph, but an emulation that rewards the efforts, achievements, and for having done the duty, “he said.

Ventura referred to the homage paid to Moncada Martyrs on Saturday in the province of Artemisa by the Revolutionary Leader, the Commander Fidel Castro, as well as his message for Artemisia’s combatants and those of all the country, which reasserts the Marti’s thought: “Homeland is Humanity”. This principle joined those young people who stormed Moncada garrison; the same principle Cubans rise nowadays to defend their dreams of justice.

Fidel is present today; and he seems to be fighting, the Cuban Vice-President stressed, who praised Fidel’s better health conditions, as well as his humanist feelings and devotion for the Liberator Simon Bolivar, as the July 26 ceremony is also devoted to him along with the Bicentenary of struggles for the independence of the Americas.

National Hero Jose Marti, intellectual author of Moncada Garrison storming, had great admiration for Simon Bolivar. He devoted passionate speeches to him like that of the Spanish American Literary Evening:  “…Anyway, Bolivar is in the heaven of the Americas, vigilant and surprised; he is sitting at the creation place, along with an Inca, and the highest part of his flag by his feet. He looks that way, wearing his campaign boots, due to those unfinished things he left behind, and still they are, because Bolivar has much to do yet in the Americas!”

Machado acknowledged the participation of the relatives of the Cuban five incarcerated in the United States at the ceremony, as well as those pastors of peace, who have faced the US blockade against Cuba over 21 years and offered a love legacy for the Cuban Revolution.

The Cuban representative issued several subjects such us damaging results of the current world economical crisis, the illogical blockade sponsored by the US Empire, and the damages caused by the climatic changes. He highlighted that the economical battle is the biggest priority of all Cuban officials; and also referred to the increasing of productions for food, saving, reduction of unnecessary expenses, and rationalization of working force and economic resources.

“Cubans will not let themselves led by those campaigns form the foreign press. The Cuban people has given irrefutable of unity along with the Party and Government, “Machado Ventura expressed during his speech in Villa Clara, and also recalled those Fidel’s words over a ceremony devoted to July 26 some time ago, when he said: “We were just a few men to defend the homeland that July 26; today, we are a whole people to conquer the future.”
