Carlos Varela and his band have been invited to attend the “Blue Note” Jazz Festival that will be held in June in New York City. The festival celebrates the 30th anniversary the Blue Note Jazz Club, a real cultural institution of New York and one of the most important and renowned jazz clubs in the world.

In its inaugural edition, the festival will be attended international famous musicians such as Dave Brubeck, Chris Botti, Nancy Wilson, Bobby McFerrin, Roberta Flack, Brian Wilson, Medeski Martin & Wood, El Gran Combo, McCoyTyner, Youssou N' Dour, Bill Frisell, Meshell Ndegeocello, Madeleine Peyroux, Chaka Khan and others.

As well as the celebration of several concerts in the Blue Note, the club will be the host of an outdoor concert in the Summer Stage of central park and other important scenes like the Beacon Theater, the Town Hall, B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, Highline Ballroom, Lincoln Center Jazz Center and the Lehman Center for the Scenic Arts, among other places.

The presentation of Carlos Varela and his band will be on Sunday, June 19 at 8:00 pm in the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill located in the central neighborhood area of Manhattan.
