Radio Rebelde, Radio Guines and Radio Cadena Agramonte were the most awarded radio stations with the Great Award in their categories in the closing ceremony of the National Radio Festival which took place in Cardenas where is located Bandera, the most ancient radio station of the country.

The celebration of the radio creators was in Cardenas movie-theater, it was attended by the participants in the theoretical working days as well as personalities and artists of Merit of our media, guest to the awards ceremony.

Guillermo Pavón Pacheco, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, recognized the friendly welcome of people from Matanzas during these days, the exchange this morning in La Ruta del Esclavo Museum, located in San Severino Castle.

The working days of the XXXII National Festival of the Cuban Radio took place in Matanzas with debates and criteria interchanges in a theoretical event which deals with the specialized perspective of the daily work of scriptwriters and writers, as well as the need of increase the participative radio, which objective is to improve the radio from a more and creative process.

Guillermo Pavon Pacheco, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) stated the participation of about 150 workers of the media from all over the country in Matanzas, who on behalf of their awarded staffs, debate, reflect and agreed tendencies for 5 million of daily radio listeners, the current number of people.

Last Tuesday, March 23rd CMKC radio station from Santiago de Cuba celebrates its 80th anniversary and it is also represented in the XXXII National Radio Festival which opened yesterday in the Athens of Cuba with the arrival of delegates and guests at the greatest event of the radio in Cuba.

Joel Macias, CMKC’s director and who also participates as guest of National Radio Festival expressed to the Portal of the Cuban Radio “CMKC’s staff is proud to reach this anniversary with a programming which takes in all tastes, our staff rises for years, proof of this is the that in 1959 after the triumph of the Revolution this radio station only broadcast 1 hour, at present it has a 24-hour programming of AM and FM frequencies”.
