According to Prensa Latina news agency, the event will also screen the Cuban
documentary “La ruta del terror” (The Path of Terror), which is included in the TV series “Las Razones de Cuba” (Cuba’s Reasons).
This material includes statements by Salvadorian terrorist Francisco Chavez Abarca, imprisoned in Havana after his extradition from Caracas, who participated in the planting of bombs in hotels of the Cuban capital in 1997, in one of which young Italian tourist Fabio Di Celmo was killed.
“La ruta del terror” comprises testimonies which bring to light several terrorist attacks against Cuba and Venezuela, planned from the United States.
The General Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Yolanda Ferrer, who traveled to Argentina 12 days ago, was given a letter in solidarity with the Cuban Five addressed to the wives of Rene and Gerardo, Olga Salanueva and Adriana Perez, respectively.
A document delivered last March 9 at the US embassy in Argentina demanding the immediate release of these antiterrorists was attached to the letter, which was signed by Argentinean legislators, intellectuals, and social and political leaders.
Ferrer visited Argentina with the purpose of presenting Fanny Edelman, the founder and president of the Communist Party of Argentina, with the Jose Marti Order, granted by the Cuban Council of State.
