The series of 10 reflexive prose writings” Cuba por un modelo sostenible como estratégia del desarrollo economico en cayerias,islotes y parques naturales” (Cuba for a sustainable model as the strategy of the economical development in cays, small islands and natural parks) by Camagüey journalist Lázaro David Najarro , won the first prize of the “Con la vida y por la vida, la naturaleza convida” national competition organized by the National Center for Protected Areas .
The work compilation is based on the sustainability principles as a development model elaborated from passive sources as well as the visit to natural places.
The author has published several books and with this relevant research demonstrated the potentials for the harmonic exploitation of the natural resources in the ecosystem of the Caribbean island without affecting the biological diversity as well as the supporting life systems.
The awarded work is the result of the research from the analytic, interpretative and critical perspective of the author.Among the writing prose include: “En el Norte de Cuba: un iceberg llamado Jardines del Rey”, “Isla Sabinal, grandioso y fantastico panorama de sorprendente belleza natural en Camaguey” and “Pedraplen Caibarien a Cayo Sanata Maria: Una obra sorprendente”.
It also includes” Parque Nacional”; Los Caimanes del Ecosistema Sabana-Camaguey” and “Peninsula de Guanahacabibes: seductora historia sumergida”, among others.
The prose writings “Cuba for a sustainable model as a strategy of development cays, small islands and natural parks” was published in the Annual Magazine of Tourism and Development from Quito, Ecuador, with research articles in order to favor academic dialogue.
