Fidel Castro greets the people gathered in front of the University of Havana

Upon his arrival at the steps of the University of Havana, the university students received Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro with an ovation.

The meeting of the Commander in Chief with the university students took place when we’re within days of the beginning of the new school year, and in the face of the danger of a new war in the Middle East with unforeseeable consequences for the world.

Cubavision and Cubavision Internacional television channels and the Radio Rebelde and Radio Habana Cuba radio stations broadcast this event live, which  will be rebroadcast at 6:30 p.m., local time, during the Round Table program aired by Cuban radio and television.
