The CD compiles excerpts from several talks held by Orlando and Benedetti, in which the author of the book “Gracias por el fuego” and “Primavera con una esquina rota” recalls his life, his exiles and returns from exile, and also reads seven poems of his own.
The CD includes two musical versions of his poems sung by Spanish singer and writer Joan Manuel Serrat , likewise the Cuban singer and composer Sara Gonzalez, sound tracking "Por que cantamos."
The CD is part of “Palabra Viva” Collection from Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Center; its coming presentation is already earning a growing interest on people.
Benedetti had an intimate and close relationship with the island, where he lived some time during his exile and belonged to the Casa de Las Americas directorate board.
Cubans are faithful readers of his writings, especially his poetic work, which has always been inspired in love; lack of love and nostalgia, fully devoted to life.
