The14th Convention and International Computer Sciences Fair 2011 to be held in Havana capital from February 7th through Febrruary 11th , will host representatives from over 20 countries.
Dr. Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, Deputy Minister Computer of Sciences and Communications, who is also the Organizing Committee Chairman, considers that the meeting will promote exchanges among professionals, entrepreneurs, government representatives, international organizations and the public in general.
Under the slogan “Convergent Technologies: Integration and Independence”, the forum will take place at the venues of Conventions Center of Havana and Pabexpo showground.
Scientific progress and innovations on different fields such as information technology, telecommunications, electronics, medical equipments and Automatic in Cuba and in the world will be promoted at the meeting.
The Scientific Committee received and assessed 1 684 paper presentations, 198 of them are from foreign authors of Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama and Uruguay, Turkey, Australia, Hungary , China, Bangladesh, Angola, Germany, Canada, Russia and El Salvador.
The Convention will include the international Computer Sciences Conferences on Education, Health, Geomatics and Technology, Multimedia Contents and Virtual Reality, as well as the tenth Ibero-American Seminar on Information Technology Security and the International Telecommunications Symposium.
Simultaneously, workshops on quality of Information and Communications Technology and that of International Electronic Trade, as well as international symposiums on Electronics and Computer Science, Automation, Computer Science and Community, among others, will be also carried out.
Specifically, the fair will display the exhibition of projects, technologies, resources, products and services for computing solutions, software, telecommunications,
electronics, automation and medical equipment, as well as a business meeting.
Ministry of Information and Communications - among others- International Telecommunications Union, the Pan American Health Organization, United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture - among other centers – will sponsor the meeting.
