Discussions among the population about the new political, economic, and social guidelines are taking place in neighbourhoods and workplaces, with the participation of more than 6 million citizens.
These specialists then take these critiques and suggestions to the twelve groups, headed by leaders of the Communist party and the state, who are continuing the work of creating the final draft of the document of guidelines for the 6th National Congress, to take place in April.
The sections that have inspired the most opinions and proposals are section 6, dedicated to social policies, section 2, about macro-economic politics, section 1, the economic management model, section 11, about policies for housing, construction, and water resources, and section 10, about transportation policies.
The sections about food rations, price policies, education quality, and laws about buying and selling houses have also been among the new guidelines most discussed by the Cuban population.
