The presence of the Cuban radio and television in the most popular cultural event of the country, responds to the need for encouraging the dialogue with the creators;, the links with writers, artists and intellectuals ; likewise the confrontation with their audiences.

A recurrent theme is to alert on the urgency of rescuing the essential specialties for radio and television like the writing of screenplays, scripts, basic outlines and the development of investigations about the mass media.

The Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) will attend the 20th International Book Fair, through its publishing house EN VIVO, The Minister of Culture, The Cuban Association of Writers and Artists of Cuba, the Cuban Union of Journalists and the Cuban Book Institute which have contributed to the creation of this project including the publication of books and a digital and printed magazine.

During the Fair eight tittles by different authors, such as Reynaldo Gonzalez, Josefa Bracero, Norma Galvez, Paquita de Armas, Sahily Tabares and Mayra Cue, will be launching.
One of the main editorial proposals of the International Book Fair will be a compilation with the journalistic works which allow evaluation of the impact of the soap opera Aqui estamos by the producers Cheito Gonzalez and Hugo Reyes along with the play Por una danza sin fronteras by journalist Martha Sanchez, in which the ICRT pays tribute to prima ballerina absolute Alicia Alonso and the Cuban School of Ballet.

In October 2010, as part of the commemorations for the 60th anniversary of the Television, the institution launched a printed special edition of EN VIVO Cuban digital magazine about Radio and Television, which in a tabloid format was sold at the end of year 2010 in a special edition all over the country.

Readers could access the advance copy as well as its digital version, in the C pavilion, Block #1 at the Morro Cabaña exhibition site, from where several live radio and television programs will be transmitted.

For its part, ICRT trading enterprise, RTV Commercial, will put on sale radio and television programs in multimedia aids, DVD and CD formats. Meetings will be held with the characters of the soap opera Aqui estamos, and exhibitions of films, stories and teleplays based on literary works.

In the new stands will be the presentation of documentaries shorts produced by Television Serrana, and in the communitarian television center, those by the television documentary staff and diverse documentary production of the countries, among them Mundo Latino which tackles the culture of Latin American countries.

The ICRT will organize meetings with outstanding personalities like Maite Vera, Enrique Molina, Roberto Chorens, Mario Balmaseda, Aurora Basnuevo, Ernesto Piñero, Leonardo Acosta, Reynaldo Gonzalez and several young artists with a relevant professional career.

There will be a stand dedicated to the program Lucas, the main promoter of the Cuban video clip, including a tribute to essayist and critic Rufo Caballero, recently passed away, who left an intense legacy to the mass media.

Children will enjoy the presentation of cartoons like Chuncha, Guaso and Carburo, Coctelitos, the serial Pubertad and La Sombrilla Amarilla that was a favorite of adults and children.
