Announcers and researchers, who attended the Third Hispanic American Scientific Meeting on Announcing with venue in the Cultural Auditorium of the Mauricio Baez Club, in the Dominican Republic, approved in the final session of the meeting the Hispanic American Federation’s new chairmanship headed by the outstanding Dominican announcer Miguel Ortega.Cubans Marialina Difurniau Grau and Mirta Ramos are members of the Federation executive- as secretary and a secretary’s assistant respectively-, aswas reported at the venue of the meeting.
Likewise, it was announced by agreement of all participants, that the Fourth Scientific Meeting on Announcing and the First Congress of Hispanic American Federation of Announcers to be held in Peru in 2012.
During that important event with professionals of the mass media, issues related to the origins of communication, progress in radio, imagination and images, the mass media and disability were analyzed.
Cuban Antonio Medina’s appearance -from Television in Matanzas city- had a great impact on the audience with his presentation paper “Announcer’s improvisation,” in which he stressed the importance of using this resource during the practice of the profession.
The Dominican Announcers Circle (CLD) and the Hispanic American Federation of announcers confirmed to the Cuban Radio the participation of professionals from Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, El Salvador, Venezuela, and Argentina.
The Hispanic American Federation is aimed at developing strategies and agreements at international level to promote announcers’ professional development and the defense of the Spanish language.
