Some include those from Uganda from the Secretariat of the Global Pan African Movement, from Madrid from the Communist Party of Spain, from El Salvador from the Cuban collaborators living in this Central American country, and from Vientiane fromy the Central Committee of the Laos People's Revolutionary Party.
Recently, Prensa Latina Agency has been publishing those messages of solidarity, in which they stress their conviction that what will be discussed at the Congress will be useful to improve Cuba and its revolution conditions in order to continue developing socialism; and the forum will be carried out in the framework of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution and the historic victory of the US invasion in Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs).
In his message to the PCC and on behalf of the Secretariat of the Global Pan African Movement, its General Secretary, Stephen Othieno, noted that the Sixth Congress will coincide with the greatest defeat suffered by US imperialism in the Bay of Pigs invasion, in 1961.
"This event, says the text, is a source of inspiration for the world's progressive forces and gives them hope that the US imperialists can be defeated as Cuba has shown for over half a century."
Othieno stressed that for the African continent the island has a special place for its vast history of struggles – as have the African peoples- against colonial and imperialist forces, as well as for its constant collaboration with the continent in several fields like health, as thousands of Cuban doctors offer their disinterested service and assistance to the needy people. "
For its part, the Spanish Communist Party (PCE) expresses its confidence in that results l emerge from the meeting "that will show that to preserve ideals of justice and solidarity is possible, as well as to face new challenges of this century. "
In the letter, José Luis Centella, PCE general secretary, extolled the pre-Congress discussions, particularly the massive participation of the Cuban people in the analysis of the Draft Guidelines for the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution.
Centella regrets the absence of the Cuban Five from the Congress, who are imprisoned in U.S. since 1998 just for preventing violent actions against their country planned in the U.S..
"Nevertheless, we are sure that the spirit of the anti-terrorists Gerardo Hernández, Fernando González, Antonio Guerrero, René González and Ramón Labañino will be present in the heart of each delegate and the denunciation of their unfair situation will be unanimous," reads the message.
After expressing its affection and admiration for the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro and President Raul Castro, the PCE repeats its firm determination to maintain its revolutionary ideals and reaffirms the historical ties and collaboration between the Spanish and the Cuban parties.
In a meeting to discuss the development of their work, the Cuban medical staff in El Salvador also agreed to send a greeting to the Cuban people, the Communist Party and its 6th Congress, they also reaffirmed their commitment to the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro and President Raul Castro, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the victory of Playa Girón.
Colaborators in the fields of education and sports joined such expressions of support for their country after having heard of the health staff’s statement, while the Cuban ambassador, Pedro Prada, announced them details of the preparation of the final documents which - as a result of a deep national debate- will be presented at the Sixth Party Congress.
In Vientiane, the capital of Laos, the Central Committee of the People's Revolutionary Party of that country, referred last Tuesday to the historical significance of that meeting, and wished success to the Congress, reported Prensa Latina.
The Central Committee of the People's Revolutionary Party of Laos, which held in March its Ninth Congress, also defended the strengthening of bilateral relations beyond the ideological issue. The document highlights the struggle of the Cuban people to overcome difficulties arising from the economic blockade imposed by the United States over 50 years.
"The traditional relations of friendship as well as the enduring solidarity and cooperation between the two parties, countries and peoples of Cuba and Laos, will be extended and strengthened," concluded the message from the Central Committee of the People's Revolutionary Party of Laos.
