Women, children and young people were the protagonists of this parade that demonstrated the commitment of the people to continue united in order to carry on the project of the Socialist revolution of the humble, by the humble and for the humble, as was stated by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on that memorable April 16, 1961 when he declared the socialist character of Revolution.

The participants in the April 16th march held flags and placards that cheered the names of Fidel and Raul, outstanding leaders of our revolutionary process.
The Cuban youth closed the popular parade with the joy in their Revolution Square to demonstrate to the world that after 50 years of socialism and victory we continue our path recalling those who initiated the our independence epics, that Fidel and the Rebel Army became a truth and later was confirmed by our militia men at the first defeat over Imperialism in Latin America, on the sands of Playa Giron, the Bay of Pigs.
