Just the idea of a firm people in its smile and combative in its joy could suggest what happened in the Jose Marti Revolution Square, in Havana, while the residents of the capital city advanced in support the of eternity of socialism in Cuba.

Youths and children, men and women, Cubans of all generations who have supported the Revolution for more than half a century, fought and defended in Playa Giron, and who will strengthen the Sixth Party Congress, which will happen in the next few hours, followed by Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) in a mass march, confirming that these weapons are backed by the masses and not against them.

Cuban people marched to warn all the imperialists that the boys of the aircraft- artillery of 50 years ago have grown into millions and will not allow anything for them or their children's death was buried forever in the sands of Giron.

As a guarantee of the defense of the country, the military parade in Jose Marti Revolution Square included the parade of formations of the armies representing Western, Central and Eastern as well as tank crews, the Navy and the Revolutionary Special Forces of the FAR and the Ministry of Interior.

Frontier Guard forces, the Youth Labor Army and territorial militia also paraded in the historic Military Review with martial and invincible fighting spirit, which also marked the parade of modern means of warfare.

The symbol of the strength of the Revolution was its armored cars, while the capacity of offensive weaponry was evident, designed and updated by the domestic industry, with which our soldiers will riposte any attack on the homeland.

In Cuba there is only one revolution, the same as our rebels began in 1868 and is now staged in memory of those, some one hundred twenty-eight riders opened the military parade in the Revolution Square.

The passage of a replica of the yacht Granma, guarded by pioneers, whose blue scarves simulated sea-air, that crossed from Mexico to Las Coloradas beach with its cargo of 82 revolutionaries led by Fidel, was another emotional moment evoked during the parade in just over two hours.

The epic page Girón was also symbolized in the passage of two pieces of artillery that made history during the mercenary invasion: T-34 tank and the SAU-100 self-propelled gun which the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro maneuvered and fired.

The youngsters, to whom the military review and the parade was devoted, represented all the people of Cuba. Their olive green uniforms, the students of various careers, athletes and workers from various sectors, coupled with our militia fighters recalling decisive revolutionary feats such as those who took part as the literacy campaign of 1961, a crusade against one of the evils that then plagued Cuba: illiteracy.

The generational continuity in our revolutionary process was represented by the Cuban Children’s Theater Company, “La Colmenita”, whose performance has underlined the joy of having a guaranteed full and victorious future for all Cubans. (Source: Radio Reloj)
