The websites of Cuba and the world, as well as the main social networks in the Spanish language addressed moments of the historic closing session of the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and the presence of the leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro, which moved all the delegates attended the great meeting and all the Cubans who listened to or watched it on the media.

The trending topics on the microblogging on twitter placed Fidel Castro among the most mentioned in the social network, likewise on Facebook on Tuesday 18 in the afternoon and evening. The topics related to the Sixth Congress of the Party, and presence of Fidel exceeded 5,000 links which included videos, photo galleries and news.

Meanwhile the Spanish search engine with a great access in the world, Google, indexed overnight more than 8,560,000 results on internet web sites with information about the events of the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Cuban Radio stations web sites with a greatest impact on Google and Yahoo until 10:00 pm on April 19 were Radio Rebelde, Radio Florida, Radio Santa Cruz, Radio Reloj, Radio Angulo, Radio Baraguá, Cuban Radio, Radio Morón, Radio CMHW, Radio Guama, Radio Cadena Agramonte and Radio Cadena Habana.

www.cubainformacion.tv –a web site that provides a way to deal with the media blockade on the network- broadcast the event of the Cuban communists with direct links to the Cuban television signal and the Radio Rebelde station’s audio. The web site included headlines related to the topic of the Sixth Congress such as: China praises economic reform plans in Cuba, First thing to be changed is the mentality, Young people must prepared to lead the Cuban revolution.

For its part, Radio del Sur broadcast the news reports written by the Cuban newspaper Juventud Rebelde during the closing session of the Sixth Party Congress, and highlighted the Venezuelan President Hugo Rafael Chavez’s words, in which he stressed the road shared by Cuba and Venezuela in their fight in favor of freedom and that the only possible option for our people is socialism.

Radio and television press worldwide, international agencies such as EFE (Spanish News Agency), ANSA from Italy, Bolivarian News Agency; Spanish newspapers like “El Mundo”, “El Pais”, “Mercurio”, “Excelsior”, “El Nuevo Diario”,  “Clarín”, and “La juventud de Urugay” referred to the significance of the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party.

Also the former President of Panama, Martin Torrijos, sent on twitter web site, an acknowledgment to Cuba: “…For the courageous and far-reaching Congress held to define its future. Participation, self-criticism and vision of future is clearly shown, Good Luck!

Raul Castro's appointment as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the creation of the Secretariat and the Politburo, the presence of Fidel Castro as an historic leader and now a soldier of the battle of ideas, the Cuban economic model, and significance of the 50th anniversary of the victory of Playa Girón for all Cubans, were the most raised topics by the international media.
