Ecuador's ambassador in Cuba, Edgar Iturriaga Ponce sent warm congratulations to the international station Radio Havana Cuba on the occasion of its 50th anniversary to be held next May 1st.
Iturriaga said in his letter that the station in its beginnings used to call listeners to the struggle for national liberation and warned people worldwide that there was a genuine revolution in Cuba that must be defended.
Radio Havana Cuba had become the hope for all countries in the world, and has been broadcasting reality of the Cuban revolution for half a century, facing the media war against Cuba, defending its people’s rights to build their future in peace, as well as spreading and defending the just causes of the peoples.
News, information and reporting on Cuba, Latin America and the world, and airing Cuban music as a patrimonial value, have turned the station into one of the most listened to stations in different parts of the world.
By paying homage to Radio Havana Cuba, we are honoring the truth, hope, solidarity as well as to its radio producers, who during these 50 years of revolution have kept their determination to broadcast hope for mankind, said the Ecuadorian diplomat in his letter.
