Camoa Radio Producer Wins National Journalism Award Print E-mail

A young doctor, and also producer of Radio Camoa, Michael Garcia Perez has been granted with the 2011 National Cultural Journalism Award in Radio. Garcia was recently awarded with the May First Journalism Award in Radio. The ceremony of the Ruben Martinez Villena Cultural Journalism Awards, on July 7th, 2011, was held in the Pabellon Cuba, venue of Hermanos Saiz Association.

The interview Amanecer feliz: encuentro con una rosa, an entertaining, creative dialogue with moral, ethical and cultural values, was the winning work. It highlights the prominence of his 7 year old son, Marcos Alejandro García Leyva and the outstanding singer writer of children songs, Rosa Campos, who entertains Cuban children with many happy mornings.

The ceremony brought together prominent artists of different cultural expressions such as dance, theater, music, visual arts and journalism in Cuba. 

Once more the physician and creator, Michael Garcia Perez, has won new awards representing Radio Camoa, the Mayabeque radio station.
