As part of the strategy to decentralize the transmission of the mass media, the RADIOCUBA enterprise has installed 179 community transmitters in localities that cover 85 % of Cuban territory.
The operation of this equipment includes the local broadcast of radio or television, on the life and customs of each locality, and as a means to provide information to the population.
At the end of August about 83 services were on the air reaching 65 locations, which are part of the Multivision channel expansion and increased coverage of national television channels and radio stations.
The increased coverage has allowed taking the signals, mainly to areas located in mountainous regions, as well as technological support to the educational program developed by Cuba.
