"Only culture can save the peoples," said the journalist, professor and researcher Roger Ricardo Luis in the last session of the Theoretical Workshop Caracol 2011, when he referred to the impact of cultural globalization on the peoples in which the media have played an outstanding role.

On his part, director of Cubarte digital magazine Rafael de la Osa alluded to creativity related to the use of ideas for the production of messages and its involvement with the people, as well as the social and cultural environment.

Rafael de la Osa noted that over the past 10 years, the greatest impact of Technologies of Information and Communications (ICT) has been on the  connectivity, Internet, and the use of mobile phones, while it increases the technological gap between rich and poor countries, despite the latter making some efforts to have access to them.

The TICs group the elements and techniques used in the process of information like software and some services, among others, and the debate about its impact in the modern world is of great significance even though several researchers pinpointed it as one of the main causes of dehumanization.

The panel "New technologies: The Wolf and the Little Red Riding Hood, to listen and hear you better!?”, presided over by teachers and researchers Berta Verdura and Milena Recio concluded the 33rd edition of the Caracol Theoretical Workshop.
