Alternate Representative of Namibia to the UN, Her Excellency Mrs Jerobeam Shaanika condemned the U.S genocide policy against Cuba. The representative also mentioned the many years Cuba has endured under the blockade due to the stubbornness of different U.S. governments to surrender the Cuban people by hunger.
In a message sent to the Portal of Cuban Radio, Cuban ambassador to Namibia Carlos Manuel Rojas highlighted the address of Namibia to the UN General Assembly. He also mentioned the joy of the colleagues and staff members of the Cuban embassy upon hearing the about the victory of Cuba in the United Nations.
Cuba and the peoples of the world stand obtained a resounding victory at the United Nations. Twenty times the world has said NO to the criminal blockade imposed by the U.S. administration, reads a message sent to the embassy in Namibia by the Collaboration Technical Brigades of agriculture, building, mining, sea transport, naval mechanics, sport and education.
"The unilateral measures against Cuba have very serious and irreparable implications for the development and welfare of the Cuban people. They have a negative impact on the economy and population, especially women and children. From our point of view,” argued the Namibian representative,” human rights are inseparable, whether economic, political or cultural. The blockade denies Cuban their basic rights just because chose a different political system,"said Jerobeam Shaanika.
