I woke up today recalling that lively moment, when streets were full of many people–mostly from my generation – cheering with music, horns and repeating over and over again the phrases: "Batista ran away," "the rebels have triumphed."
Certainly, in the case of the young people, they only know about the triumph of the Cuban revolution that took place on January the first, by reference. I have become a professional thanks to the Cuban Revolution.
Every time I read the claims of youngsters from other countries, I realize that all the guarantees provided by the Cuban government do not exist in many countries. I also know that the Cuban young people have needs in our country and we have to struggle to achieve a way of life with better quality.
It is said that the satisfaction of one need begets another dissatisfaction; hence the need to struggle to find ways in order to reach a better quality of life in Cuba, a country that has few natural resources and that we must strengthen the development of workforce qualification for the future as important export ruble.
To prepare ourselves, to derive benefit from our knowledge and rationalize as much as possible will fully show the Cubans’ ability to solve and invent things like the case of the wise people who work at the scientific center, just to mention a great group of qualified people who have acquired knowledge and skills in Cuba in order to help the poor people from many countries in the world.
When those generations remember that January the first, when the joy and excitement of the Cuban people returns, like those who are enjoying Cuba’s achievements, all of us will continue together and work in favor of the revolution, which is still being perfected.
