The year 2012 started with a new international campaign of sending cards and posters aimed at President Barack Obama demanding freedom for the Cuban Five antiterrorist fighters imprisoned in U.S. jails.
The image for this campaign is by Jorge Martell, an experienced Cuban graphic and fine artist. With the support of the Postal Workers' Union of Canada and the Union of Rotary Press Workers in Paris they will send out some 50 thousand cards in English and Spanish.
From the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, friends and supporters of the Five Heroes from the International Institute of Political Studies, will ensure the publication of 10,000 posters.
With the same image tens of thousands of leaflets will be published to distribute within the U.S. The goal is for them to be inserted in magazines, newspapers, and on public transportation in the United States.
The mentioned cards may be obtained on the website from www.theCuban5.org and the email

Along with the publicity campaign, are actions that include lectures, documentaries, and information round tables in public and participation in major events. Since the legal recourses for the Cuban 5 are exhausted without obtaining justice and the campaign of denunciation and solidarity is growing throughout the world and it is needed today more than ever.
