Cuban Elections 2010

6 319 337 Cuban citizens have exercised their right to secret and direct vote for those representatives at the Municipalities Assemblies of Peoples’ Power, reported Vice-President of National Electoral Commission  Rubén Pérez Rodríguez.

Members who are working at the constituencies as well as the electoral authorities have developed a satisfactory work. The voters have shown organization, discipline and patriotism during elections.

By reporting the first figures of the elections, the Secretary of the National Electoral Commission Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez had said that the electoral process during the first hours has been developed quite well. This action has proved the responsibility among all citizens who have the right to vote when choosing those representatives, deserving of trust in the communities.

And the President of National Assembly Ricardo Alarcon de Quesada, said the Cuban press that theses elections have represented a democratic celebration. He added that Cubans have voted more and chosen better their representatives than U.S citizens.

Through the contacts we have made with all provinces, and by some reports to the Cuban Radio during this special programming, it has been noticed the high level of enthusiasm and organization in all territories, and even the weather has been in our favor in this election because we have had a sunny Sunday, and we continue expecting a warm day, without rain.

The second electoral report closed at 11 am and at 2:00 pm, it will provide the results after processing all data, electoral authorities reported Radio Rebelde station.

The websites of the Radio, Television and Press have been upgrading their spaces with everything what t is happening in this electoral process from each region and have been inserted photo galleries, special repositories, audios and videos also in social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
