Cuban people against the anti-Cuba smear campaign

May 1st International Workers Day was a mass and colorful celebration in Cuba, this time staged hundreds of thousands of Cubans grouped in their trade unions, student groups showing the world  showing the world that this "green alligator" although geographically is a small country, it be a "Seven-league giant."

José Martí Revolution Square was fully decorated for the occasion, was a symbol of all Cuban workers who marched to denounce not only the relentless smear campaign sponsored by for the great monopolies of communication, but to announce that we are in favor of our social project, because we are convinced of its humanistic and revolutionary.

Cuban young people also participated in the parade, future generations are the continuity of our ideas, which have been defended more than half a century of the Revolution. 10 000 women represented a beautiful and creative force in the Cuban revolutionary process and represented a symbol in those who were part of the Cuban history in the Independence War, those who worked underground, who participated in the literacy campaign and in the struggles for the return of Elian Gonzalez, as well as other economical activities.

The attendance of our artists was relevant. Los Van Van and La Colmenita Theater Company also march along with our intellectuals whose performances and unlimited talent are also part of the Cubanness.

The army of white coats symbolized Health and Sciences workers as an expression of cooperation and responsibility of the humanist sense of the Revolution to defend, there were joy and responsibility to those who day by day in our clinics are waging a battle against the Aedes Aegypti mosquito and H1N1 influenza and since its laboratories dedicate hours of dedication to saving lives in Cuba and around the world.

Our plazas  were dressed as workers, because this special day together in a single fist builders, electricians, chemists, workers in hotels and tourism, food, computer and media, cultural workers, transport, Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior.

And our Cuban flag in each hand, each block, in every heart of man and woman on this International Day of Workers, said the world again that all this people are with Fidel and Raul, because Cuban history is with us to build our future. May 1st, A memorable International Workers’ Day.
