The 169 municipal assemblies of the People’s Power will hold sessions on Wednesday corresponding to the XIV period, where the recently elected delegates will meet under the direction of the president of the Municipal Electoral Commission.

After meeting all the established regulations following the elections, the elected delegates will take their oath of service.
Municipal assemblies, as stated in the Constitution, are the higher local organs of the state in each territory.

Once the Municipal Assemblies are established, members will elect a president and a vice president for the Municipal Candidacy Commission by secret ballot.

Following proposals will drawn-up based on a rigorous process of consultations with delegates, local authorities, citizens and organizations.

Of the 15,093 elected delegates to the municipal assemblies, 5,046 are women, or 33.4%.
