
A modern facility for radio and television is raised in the eastern region of Cuba
“La Voz Del Sol” radio station and a television broadcasting located in the eastern province of Guantanamo comes together in a new and comfortable headquarters opened recently in Maisi, Guantanamo by The Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) Guillermo Pavon Pacheco.
The radio and television headquarters was built in La Maquina town, located in the central part of Maisi region to air a better quality programs in wide recording, recording and editing studios equipped with up-to-the-minute technology and connection to the aims.
The facility also includes a classroom for the training of radio and television professionals such us: announcers, journalists, technicians, consultants, and producers, as well as accommodations for professors from different regions in Cuba can travel to the eastern part of the country to teach their courses.
Director of “La Voz Del Sol” radio station Elmis Gainza said that the new radio and television headquarters entails a challenge for the staff of improving the quality of programs.
Arleidis Tamayo, a television journalist from Guantanamo, said that he felt very happy for the new headquarters, since for the first time, locals, who are mainly farmers, can express their opinions and point of views both for radio and television; and see how their contribution for the Cuban revolution work is shown by those media.
