On July 1, 1947 Radio Reloj station went on the air from a local in the flat roof of CMQ old property in Monte Street, Havana City. In that small and uncomfortable building becoming a studio were a table, a microphone, a metronome and two chairs.

At present, Radio Reloj is on the eighth floor of the Cuban Institute of radio and Television, on 23rd Street. It is worldly considered the radio station of the time and the news. It is equipped with two comfortable radio booths, the editorial staff, the press reporters department, two web sites and other departments which allow the optimal programming.

Radio Reloj staff marks the time of the national and international news. Prestigious professionals of the media as Juan Emilio Friguls, who was National Journalism Award are paradigms of the daily work of Radio Reloj and an example for the new generations.

Located today on the eighth floor of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, 23 Street, Vedado, the station of the time and the news has two comfortable radio booths, the central editorial office, reporters, two websites, and other areas that together allow realizing the magic of radio.

More than 100 workers, including reporters, editors, correspondents, broadcasters and technicians, make it possible to continuously check the Radio Reloj life minute by minute and come home with the national and international events.

Prestigious journalists as Juan Emilio Fríguls, former National Journalism Award, are paradigms of good practice in Radio Reloj. That example radiates to the new generations today.

In its 63 anniversary, workers at the station an hour and the news have a mission to fulfill our slogan: Si es noticia la tiene Radio Reloj. So the challenge to achieve in the bulletins reflect the current Cuban reality and the peoples of the world, against the unjust international economic and financial order, our tic tac is and will remain the pulse of life in Cuba, and the echo of today on the planet, a task that Radio Reloj meets of National Vanguard Condition for 23 consecutive years.
