Secretary executive of the National Literacy Commission Carlos Coz praised the Cuban method “Yo si puedo”, which is freeing Guatemala of illiteracy and plans to teach reading and writing 83 500 Guatemalan people by the end of this year. Coz said that two regions in Guatemala were declared free of illiteracy by UNESCO and shortly there will be another one.
