
Comander Fidel Castro and Minister of Foreign Affairs of People's Republic of China hold talks on the international current situation
Commander Fidel Castro met Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Yang Jiechi on Sunday midday and held talks about international current situation as well as bilateral relations between China and Cuba.
The Chinese Minister gave greetings of the top management in China to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, while Fidel Castro sent greetings to the Comrade Hu Jintao and top officials in China.
Director of Latin America region of Ministry of Foreign Relations in China and Ambassador in Cuba Liu Yugin were present at the meeting.Cuba and People’s Republic of China established diplomatic relations as of September 28, 1960. Both governments have reaffirmed the smooth running of their relationships after 50 years have passed.
Bilateral Cooperation of both countries is based on sectors such us Biotechnology, Health, Information of Communication, Renewable Energy Development and Professional Training.
At the closing of the meeting, Fidel Castro presented the Secretary of State of China with the Chinese edition of his book “100 horas con Fidel” (100 hours to share with Fidel) and his last one “la Victoria estratégica” (Estrategic Victory), just printed.
The Chinese Minister and his delegation traveled to Costa Rica on Sunday.
