International Press Features Fidel at the Cuban Parliament

The great Newspapers and channels from abroad featured on Sunday speech of the Leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro at the Extraordinary Session of Parliament-with the participation of more than 600 legislators and executive representatives of State and Government-where he alerted about disastrous results that could emerge from a world war as well as warned that US President Barack Obama can take decision to avoid this war.

In Latin America, Most newspapers and web sites publish the appearance of Fidel at the Parliament with his green olive uniform. Some of them include: ANDES Ecuatorian News Agency, as well as newspapers: La Prensa from Nicaragua, El Universal form Mexico, El Clarin from Argentine, Mercurio from Chile, and El Mundo from Uruguay.

Digital newspaper ESMas.com published a wide show of pictures about the attendance of Fidel Castro at the national Assembly, from the moment of his arrival at the meeting until his exchange with the parliamentary members stressing Commander’s warning of imminent danger if a nuclear war would take place in the Middle East.

Likewise, newspapers from Spain including La Voz de Galicia, El Pais, 20 minutos, as well as the web site Terra also published the information of Fidel and highlighted the appearance of Fidel after four years of absence at the parliamentary meeting.

Agencies DPA, Reuter, Notimex, Xinjua, Venezolana de Noticia, and that from Bolivia noted some words of Fidel’s speech for headlines, mainly those addressed to President Obama to persuade for him not to authorize the beginning of the war, because this way he would be ordering the snapshot death of millions of people, including Us citizens, and fleet crew members towards Iran.

Social Webs like Tuenti, Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook also communicated Cuban President’s attendance at the national Assembly and the great impact of his reflections on the Cuban media. Just two hours later of Fidel’s appearance on Cuban Radio and Television, Twitter took the first place through hashtags #Fidel Castro and #Fidel. Most comments and information on twitter were published from Cuba, United States and Venezuela.

Certainly, the message by Fidel addressed to the Parliament had a great international impact and all the revolutionary progressive people around the world stressed President’s appearance; however el Pais newspaper from Spain, being a media that publishes the media campaign against Cuba, keeps its reiterative and malicious politics to push changes in Cuba at any cost, this time under the headline: Fidel Castro return to the Parliament and does not mention any reform.
