Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations Organization

Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations Organization (UNO), described as impressive Cuba’s achievements in meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), while attending a meeting with Cuban FM Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla. Referring these goals to be reached in 2015, both parties agreed on the need to strengthen the political will.

Ban Ki-moon praised the impressive progress made by Cuba in this regard and expressed his gratitude for the assistance Cuba provides Haiti, a country ravaged by an earthquake in January.
Both sides also discussed issues related to climate change and humanitarian affairs, says the official note.
